PREMIERE | Joy Guerrilla Create A Natural Fusion of Funk & Electronica on “Earthsuit”

|||, ,

We’ve got a groovy synth-laden jam to premiere for you all today, coming from funk/electronic group Joy Guerrilla. With Magdalena Daniec on the keyboard and Adam Grab handling bass and percussion, the two create a truly unique sound from the confines of their LA apartment. “Earthsuit,” part of their new album out March 12 titled The Park Is Closed, is a whimsical jam with intricate and detailed production.

It begins with some light, easy-going keys that allow the melody to move swiftly. Gradually the vibrancy builds, as the other musical elements are introduced, including a sweet trumpet solo from Mike ‘Maz’ Maher from revered jazz outfit Snarky Puppy. The tune feels like a perfect marriage of electronic music and instrumentals.

Take a listen to “Earthsuit” below! They’ve also dropped a few other singles from the album, so give those a listen while we wait for the rest to drop tomorrow. Enjoy!
