Legendary producer, Kenny Beats, has worked on chart-topping tracks with the likes of BENEE, Vince Staples, and a plethora of other iconic artists. Through his long list of accomplishments and accolades, the one landmark Kenny has not yet hit is the release of his own collection of tracks. Well, that all changes with the recent announcement of LOUIE, the producer’s seventeen-track solo debut.
Made as a gift for his father, and comprised of primarily instrumental tracks, Kenny Beats taps into a whole new realm of creativity on his upcoming album. Self-described as a “hypnotic odyssey of wounded, teardrop soul,” LOUIE might just be Kenny’s best work to date… I guess we will have to wait and see. Nonetheless, a new level of intimacy and nostalgia that we have not seen before will most definitely be a treat for long-time fans of the iconic artist.
Kenny Beats shared his thoughts behind creating his debut solo album, saying:
I always said that I wouldn’t do a solo album because I didn’t have anything to say. Finally, I did. Something dark turned into something beautiful. This album encapsulated the feeling of that one month.
