One of the latest rappers to make waves out of the New England area is Boston-based Khamari. We came across his recent song “The Heat” which we added to our Hip-Hop Therapy playlist on Spotify, but also wanted to write about this new rapper. He’s got influences ranging from The Beatles to Mac Miller, and it shows with this genre-colliding single. It features a slow-paced guitar that sets the mood and is quickly followed by Khamari’s superb vocals in a smooth verse. By the time the chorus hits the vibes couldn’t be higher. We are definitely ready to hear what he’s got next.
