Here at TSIS we love finding the next big artist. London-based singer-songwriter Khazali is the latest to catch our eye (and ear) with his vocal talent and electronic instrumentation. After releasing his debut EP Going Home Vol. 1 earlier this year, Khazali now returns to us with a slow-burning indietronica ballad “Better With The Devil.”
This song lets Khazali’s soulful voice take center stage. Against a backing arrangement of rich chords and brassy synth embellishments, the pace of the song feels laid back and unhurried. Khazali takes his time establishing a palm tree-filled mental image before exploring his own mental journey.
Khazali himself describes the message of the song as:
that feeling of sticking with yourself and knowing your instincts, no matter what — whether it’s fun or scary…[it] will make you feel like you’re cruising down a desert road in a vintage car.
With “Better With The Devil” Khazali proves that he has all the makings of a future star. But don’t just take our word for it – check out this track using the link below. Enjoy!
