New Zealand indie/electronic band LEISURE boasts one of the coolest sounds you’ll ever hear. Their unrelenting pursuit of smooth, groove-filled indie dance music and laid-back vibes has propelled them into a league of their own. Today, they’re entering their next chapter with their fourth studio album Leisurevision.
The album takes inspiration from various eras. There’s the smoothness of the seventies’ blue-eye-soul, the romantic energy of the early eighties post-disco, and a mid-nineties hip-hop inspired drum programming. All of this coincides with LEISURE’s own signature lush, guitar-driven and airy vocal style.
LEISURE admitted that the inspiration behind Leisurevision is encapsulated by the color green; symbolizing growth, renewal, and rebirth. Keep that in mind as you listen to tracks like the horn-infused “Back In Love,” the gentle strums of “All the Good Times Never Die,” and hazy psychedelia of “Mellow.”
In addition to the release, LEISURE have announced an accompanying North American fall tour. You can check out the full list of dates here. Stream Leisurevision below and enjoy!
