Indie electronic duo, Lemaitre, have been making music for eleven years but seem to be finding their stride as of late. After dropping their sixth single this year, the Norwegian pair are finally ready to unveil their newest album, Substellar.
We had the pleasure of speaking with Lemaitre ahead of the album release and we learned that this felt like more of a debut release to them. Time-related, pandemic-related, whatever you want to call it, last year inspired a lot of artists to make the most of things and to just get music out there. Substellar is the product of that. The 12-track project navigates a wide range of musical influences and styles that make up Lemaitre. While the energy on the tracks can range from low to high, brilliant melodies shine through on each tune, giving the listener a sensation of soaring through their music, whether it’s at home or on the dancefloor.
