Leotrix Flaunts His Flexibility On Glitchy, Erratic ‘Honesty Trax’ EP

|||

Australian young gun, Leotrix, has quickly risen through the ranks of the bass music world with a reputation for chaotic live performances and explosive production. It’s no wonder he’s garnered support from heavyweights like Excision, Zeds Dead, and NGHTMRE just to name a few. The adventurous wunderkind is making his debut appearance on the gamer-centric Night Mode imprint with a glitchy two-track Honesty Trax EP.

The lead cut, “brief grip of creation,” sees him triggering through choppy bass house tendencies. The fast-tempo beat lays the foundation for a myriad of fuzzy synths and crunchy bass. The B-side, “this track vs my laptop fan,” is one of the more appropriately named tracks I can think of. This tune is a chunk of chirpy future bass funk filled with chopped vocals, dubstep-style breaks, and forward-thinking sound design sure to give any DAW a run for its money.
