Quickly-rising singer, songwriter and producer Maggie Rogers bursted onto the scene with her breakout single "Alaska" earlier this year and has now shared the aesthetically pleasing visuals to accompany the infectious tune.
The song’s organic vibe is captured perfectly as Maggie is seen skipping and dancing in a forest until nighttime when the woods transform into a somewhat of an outdoor club. Maggie successfully blends chill electronic arrangements with vocal harmonies and her soft folk style.
Buzz around the song first began her song — unfinished at the time – was critiqued by Pharrell in a New York University masterclass. The early version of the tune deeply moved Pharrell. "Wow. I have zero, zero, zero notes for that," he said. The video showing Pharrell's reaction went viral and had many fans anxiously awaiting its official release. At the time, Rogers only had one song to submit. She is now working on her debut album which is expected to drop in 2017 so stay tuned for more singles from the exciting new artist. Enjoy!
