Magic City Hippies are one of those bands that once you hear, you know you’ll want to play a song for one of your friends. Embracing everything from AM radio rock and poolside pop to nimble raps and salsa, they lock into an era-less vibe with no shortage of psychedelic funk or hooks. Today, we’re thrilled to be able to share with you their newest album, Water Your Garden.
Much like every living being on the planet during COVID, the band went through their fair share of hardships. Water Your Garden is the first album they created while all living in separate places around the US. Much like the album title suggests, the guys focused on self-care and their interpersonal relationships with friends and family. The result is a much more introspective, emotionally mature collection of music but not without maintaining that classic MCH swag. The band even recruited a few friends along the way, including Tim Atlas, Nafets, and maye.
Magic City Hippies are currently in the early stages of a jam-packed US tour so be sure to check if they’re coming to a city near you. Stream the album below and enjoy!
