Based in Brooklyn and born in Hong Kong, multi-instrumentalist and producer, Metic, draws from a wide spectrum of influences when creating his own music. The budding artist is currently preparing to release a new album in October, now sharing the project’s first, groovy single, “Bodega Minute.”
Metic’s instrumental chops immediately shine upon pressing play. Tasteful bass lines intertwine with syncopated guitar plucks and swung beats, Metic choosing the precisely perfect moment to take stunning guitar solos. “Bodega Minute” is bound to be your new favorite late-night tune, or even study soundtrack.
Metic commented on his plans for 2023, sharing:
It’s been a minute and I’m beyond stoked to present my new project “Thoughts on Home and Symmetry”. The full album will be available in Oct 2023, and I’m releasing a series of singles in the months leading up to it, starting today with “Bodega Minute”! This is my first independent release in a long time and I also did a limited run of Cassettes (60) and Vinyl (100) available for pre-order. I appreciate all of your past support in my music endeavors, and hope you can join me on this next step of my journey. All tracks are made in Brooklyn and Hong Kong while documenting life across my home and hometown.
