We have received a bounty of ODESZA releases this year, and the duo just outdid themselves by dropping the deluxe edition of The Last Goodbye. Not only does the deluxe album include the two singles they dropped earlier this year, “To Be Yours” and “Hopeful,” but they also shared two VIP tracks. Previously, fans could only catch the VIP versions of “All We Need” and “Sun Models” in person or via concert recordings – until now.
This exhilarating version of “All We Need (VIP)” features heavily boosted basslines, the ODESZA drumline on the drop, and blaring horns on the chorus. The dark and sexy production is perfectly balanced by the lightness of Shy Girls’ falsetto vocals. In contrast, “Sun Models (VIP)” feels much airier. With its amplified percussion and tropical notes, ODESZA create an absolutely euphoric atmosphere that transports listeners back to the dancefloor of their shows.
