Rising London Producers O’Flynn & Frazer Ray Drop New-School Rave Album ‘Shimmer’

||, |,

Hailed by Boiler Room as “one of dance music’s most prosperous newcomers,” O’Flynn is a producer and DJ from London you’re going to want to start paying attention to. He was recently featured on Bonobo’s track “Otomo” and has been riding a wave of momentum since. This weekend, he teamed up with frequent collaborator, Frazer Ray, for the release of their first feature-length album, Shimmer, out now via Ninja Tune’s Technicolour imprint.

Shimmer is the product of both London producers’ mutual love for UK garage and respect for one another’s production skills. The 12-track project doesn’t fit any one mold and is a fresh and unique take on what the UK club sound is meant to be. Everything from energetic four-on-the-floor grooves, ambient-tinged melodies, 150 bpm jungle-esque breaks and moving garage influences can be heard over the course of the album.

Shimmer is the perfect new-school rave album we never knew we needed but could arguably be one of the most impressive releases so far this year. Stream the full project below and enjoy!
