You probably know Petit Biscuit as the teenage boy who made the timeless and escapist track “Sunset Lover,” but today’s Petit Biscuit has evolved as much as any artist could, all while maintaining his defining atmospheric production. Today, Petit Biscuit launches his new Movement EP series and with its first edition, you can quickly hear this next era of innovation he is now stepping into.
Movement I stands at seven tracks, with a diverse range of sounds and energies. Its standout track begins the project in a breathtaking cover of Radiohead’s “Everything In Its Right Place.” An iconic track for the iconic French producer to take head on, and he does so with excellence. Featuring graceful vocals from Lizzy Land, Petit Biscuit turns this haunting track into a cinematic house music experience.
The EP also features newcomer “All Over” with fellow French producer Asdek. Where his Radiohead cover is more introspective and moving, this track gets down and dirty. Its innovative clubby nature and heavy bass thumps make it seem like a song from the future. Previously released tracks like the dreamy “Without You” alongside Surf Mesa and JP Saxe and the ethereal “The Forest” with YouTube creator Amixem anchor the project before it closes with an instrumental version of “Everything In Its Right Place.”
If Movement I is anything, it is a showcase of Petit Biscuit’s immense range and talent and an exciting first chapter on more music to come this year. Stream the EP below and enjoy!
