Rising Canadian producer Cerdin has already caught the attention of bass legends like RL Grime and Allison Wonderland. His new single “Talk” will most definitely grab yours too. Today, we have the privilege of exclusively premiering it for our readers before it drops tomorrow.
Filled with distorted glitches and grungy breaks, this song starts deceptively sweet before plunging listeners into a heavy bass drop. He keeps us guessing throughout the duration of the song, alternating between breakbeats, dub-step, and even techno. The unifying thread of the song is the haunting female vocal that breaks through the dark production.
Cerdin shares what this song means to him,
“I’m in a very inspired spot with producing right now where I’m listening to so much, and trying to translate things I like about different subgenres and sound styles into one cohesive work. This track is the first finished product of this ‘research and development’ period I’ve entered where I’m just trying anything and everything regardless of what the Cerdin ‘brand’ might be to some people. I’m just happy to be pushing my limits and exploring more. I hope you enjoy it! There’s plenty more where it came from.”
Make sure to give it a listen before it releases everywhere tomorrow. Enjoy!
