PREMIERE | KYTES & Digitalism Unite on Fresh New Electro Single “Hula-Hoop”

It’s not every day that we get the honor of premiering a truly unique and special collab. Today, indie-pop group KYTES teams up with electronic legends Digitalism, on their new single “Hula-Hoop.” For what might seem like an unlikely pairing, the six dynamic musicians join forces to create something magical.

Drawing from a plethora of influences, “Hula-Hoop” is a combination of a wide variety of sounds and textures. Its house groove and bright synth leads blend seamlessly with the playful vocals of KYTES, making for a unique mashup of pop and electro. The result is a groovy beat and infectious melodies perfect for the dance floor. Set to front KYTES’s upcoming Apricosa EP, “Hula-Hoop” is a showcase of the quartet’s expansive writing style and ability.

Here’s what KYTES had to say about “Hula-Hoop” and working with Digitalism:

It was a great pleasure and an honour to write this song with Digitalism. Jens & Ismail are an inspiration and motivation for us for a long time now, so this feels a little surreal. We’re super proud of the song and very happy it’s gonna be out soon.

You can stream “Hula-Hoop” exclusively at the link below, out everywhere July 8 via Frisbee Records. While you’re at it, secure tickets to one of KYTES’s upcoming tour dates here. Enjoy!
