Today we’re eager to share with you the newest from Berlin-based artist, LLUCID, who’s making his TSIS debut with “Feel Good.”
For fans of Mac Miller and J. Cole, this release draws influence directly from these artists. In a press release for “Feel Good,” he said these artists “encouraged him to carve out his own style of combining organic textures with tactile hip hop beats & thought-provoking lyrics.”
The energetic production of the track alternates between heavy bass lines and organic drums. He also sprinkles in colorful guitar notes. But the focus of the track is LLUCID’s effortless flowy rap performance. The lyrics are an exercise in self-examination and offer an interesting contrast with the upbeat backing instrumentation. LLUCID muses about dealing with depression and wondering how he can make himself “feel good.”
This is definitely one track that you’ll immediately want to play again after the first listen. “Feel Good” is actually part of his larger EP Getting In Touch, out on Friday. Until then, the only place to stream “Feel Good” is below. Enjoy!
