Denver might be known as the “bass capitol” but truth be told the rest of the Front Range is doing more than its part to contribute to that moniker. Take 19k, the label started by Boulder’s own Dirt Monkey. Since their founding last year they’ve continued to pump out the signature brand of dubstep and bass house that we’re known for here. Since adding MPort to the mix, that reputation should only continue.
A producer who’s repertoire is indicative of the evolving nature of the bass music scene, MPort’s wonky sound design and deep production style have been continuously honed since he first started making music three years ago. With this newest release “Proximity“, he takes that foundation and quickly builds on it. A frenetic, dudbstep banger, the track is one that’s already caught the attention of tastemakers across the country.
