Los Angeles duo Slander graced the bass music scene last year with their two-track Duality EP and have now brought it back to the surface with a full-fledged remix package that most notably features NGHTMRE.
He takes on "Dead", a metal-infused trap banger that's comprised of heavy screeches, sharp drum hits and epic guitar riffing. NGHTMRE fakes listeners out in the intro with a peaceful piano sequence before switching gears to the aggressive metal sequence we all know. Sticking to the song's trap structure, he incorporates a nasally lead synth that stings with every note. He also brings in a hollow, bouncy element to balance out the force of its surrounding elements.
It's been a massive year for NGHTMRE. From his "Click Clack" collaboration with LOUDPVCK to his "Frontlines" collaboration with Zeds Dead in just the past couple months, the Los Angeles-based producer has simply not stopped dishing out quality tracks at a fast rate. He's also currently on the road with Slander as part of their collective Gud Vibrations North American tour. For a full list of tour dates, click here.
