If you’re searching for an up-and-coming melodic bass producer, we’ve found your guy: PLEEG. Ahead of his EP Dreamer releasing via Never Say Die, we have the pleasure of premiering his track “Glass.” Not much is yet known about this emerging artist, but the music speaks for itself.
The textures on this track are everything. This song gets its name from the shattered glass sounds that serve as a motif throughout. There’s also a chiming, Asian instrument that tickles our ears just right. While this might seem at odds with a bass track, PLEEG makes sure to preserve the delicateness of some of his instrumentals by making them work in tandem with the heavier bass effects, not against them. Despite the busyness of the track, the melody still comes through and feels cohesive.
