There’s been a massive trail of influence left in the wake of Daft Punk. Two producers directly affected by the French juggernauts are fellow countrymen, Jean Tonique and Mi Man. Both artists have carved out their own respective careers by now and have turned a blossoming friendship into a working collaborative project. Today, we’re excited to be premiering Tonique & Man’s latest single “Day & Night,” off of their upcoming album.
“Day & Night” combines disco and funk elements with a groovy beat and lighthearted sensibility. They also add a bit of retro-pop to their melodies by channeling the sounds of the Bee Gees. It’s impossible not to hear the Daft Punk influence throughout the track but not without their own unique and charismatic touch.
“Day & Night” is part of their upcoming album Opening Soon which is set to release next month. For now, you can stream the track exclusively below. Enjoy!
