Making his debut on the blog today is rising producer Walschlager. Hailing from Detroit, he injects this energy into his latest single “Walk With Me.”
While “Walk With Me” is bass house, Walschlager also leans into an industrial vibe with some of the other elements of the track. The opening minimalist beats and echoing vocals that give the song its namesake establish a warehouse ambiance, before a scorching bassline comes rolling through. For the rest of the track, Walschlager manages to hang on to that bass-tech sweet spot, elevating it above a standard bass track.
Walschlager described his goals for the track as:
Globally the house music scene is such a wonderful environment for patrons everywhere. I really just wanted to bring that same feel to this project as we linger in such a stale reality. Whether it be at a festival, deep in the Afters, or bumping on your headphones, I want these records to be an internal escape into the world of house music.
“Walk With Me” is one of three tracks that will be on the Get Right EP. The EP won’t be out until tomorrow, so make sure to catch this exclusive taste using the link below. Enjoy!
