Sam Gellaitry Shares Genre-Blending ‘Escapism III’ EP

||

It’s been a while since the last Sam Gellaitry project and now he's delivered Escapism III, the third installment to his EP series. Gellaitry’s distinctive and continuously evolving production style can easily be heard throughout the entirety of Escapism III.

The now 20-year-old producer began making waves at 18 when his Short Stories EP dropped on Soulection back in 2015. His unique blend of hip-hop and electronic sounds has earned him millions of plays over the years and even secured him with a spot on NAO’s FAWK Remix EP among producer giants Kaytranada, Mura Masa and more.

The EP includes worldly instrumentation through highly detailed horn, harp and string progressions placed alongside his experimental sound design. The EP combines gentle melodies with slow panning percussion and layered fluttering vocal chops seamlessly blending it into the wonky synths and skittering bass. He effortlessly creates a contrast between organic instrumentation and electronic production as he includes soft strings, acoustic guitar and angelic vocals creating a euphoric atmosphere against the 808s and slashing synths. Escapism III progresses on the Sam G sound we've become fans of over the years and comes via XL Recordings. Listen to it in full below and enjoy!
