British Rapper Sane Links with Maniscooler & Sincerely Mace on Chill Ballad “Kite”

Today we get to introduce you to two rappers from across the pond: Sane and Maniscooler. The two are longtime collaborators hailing from Leicester in the UK. Their new track “Kite” is the first of four coming from an upcoming eponymous EP.

Producer Sincerely Mace lays down a cool backing track that flows like water with muted keystrokes and the occasional trumpet as embellishment. Over this production, Sane and Maniscooler ask the question “what if?” The song’s title reflects the kite metaphor used throughout, where Sane and Maniscooler muse about whether or not they’ll sink or fly. Despite the slightly melancholy nature of the bars on “Kite,” the lightness of the chorus gives it a nice balance.
