Mind of a Genius Records, the label that is home to ZHU and Gallant, has continued to make waves with artists such as KWAYE and THEY. seeing early success. Klangstof, the four-piece group from Amsterdam also under the MOAG umbrella, offer a unique indie-electronic sound that is quickly gaining the attention from listeners internationally. Their debut single “Hostage” has just received an incredible remix from Chicago-based producer, Shallou. Shallou recently released his debut EP All Becomes Okay which was colorful and emotional; a vibe he reproduces beautifully with his remix of “Hostage”.
The track starts with sentimental guitar plucks and airy vocals creating a dramatic atmosphere for the rest of the song. Light piano chords are introduced which are quickly accompanied by a soft percussion pattern and Klangstof’s original vocals. Each of the different elements progress together throughout the track to create an uplifting remix of an already awesome song… A remix that will certainly be on repeat throughout the summer. Enjoy!
