It seems like there are new genres of electronic music being born daily, but today’s the first time we’ve heard what we’ll now be referring to as “Kung Fu Bass”. When presented with the challenge of creating a song with this theme, producers Sharrol Kelby and Munchii stepped up to the plate in a major way. Together, they cooked up some magic on an epic track “Terra Cotta Soldier”, released via the Producer Dojo label.

With its name taken from the famous clay warriors in China, it’s no surprise this track starts off with east Asian wind instruments. Supporting the song’s alluring flute melody are various tribal drums and percussion that add satisfying texture to the backdrop. It’s easy to imagine these terra cotta soldiers coming to life and doing battle while this song plays during an epic fight sequence.
