The vomit has arrived. We’ve been excitedly waiting for SNAILS debut album The Shell, and now it’s here in all its glory. The 12-track project marks a monumental moment in the vomitstep pioneer’s career as he also just wrapped up his biggest headline show to date.
We had the pleasure of presenting SNAILS’ one-day Sluggtopia festival at Red Rocks where he played out the full album for the first time in addition to unveiling his absolutely insane new stage design he’s bring on tour (see Red Rocks recap here). The Shell builds on his forward-thinking, signature sound bringing on collaborations from Collie Buddz, Waka Flocka Flame, NGHTMRE, Big Gigantic, MAX, HYTYD, Foreign Beggars, Sarah Hudson, Dion Timmer, KLP, Liam Cormier (of the band Cancer Bats), Travis Richter (of band From First To Last).
SNAILS has been a one-of-a-kind artist from day one. Now he’s crafted a project that’s just as wild as you could ever imagine from the Montreal-based producer that truly pushes the limits of sound design. His epic drops and unique gargling synths are as prevalent as ever. We hear SNAILS evolve his song structure involving a diverse cast of collaborators while keeping his out-of-this world production at the forefront of each track.
