Stick Figure And Citizen Cope Get Ready For Sunshine With Their New Reggae Collab “Summertime”

||, |,

Nothing can get you in the summer mood quite like a good reggae song. At TSIS, some of our favorite reggae music comes from the San Diego-based band Stick Figure. Last June, we premiered their collaborative track with Slightly Stoopid, “World on Fire”. Now, we are happy to kick-off summer once again with a collaborative Stick Figure track. This time around, Citizen Cope is the featured artist and the track is aptly titled… wait for it…“Summertime”.

The sunshine is harnessed right away with straight-forward percussion and bright piano chords. Fitting guitar strums and bongo hits are introduced next, providing the bedrock for Stick Figure and Citizen Cope’s back-and-forth vocal melody. The song is simple, but provides good vibes and smiles; what else could you ask for… Enjoy! (add a piña colada for best results).
