SZA has had a whirlwind of a couple years. The TSIS favorite has gone platinum and earned Grammy nominations this past year but still isn’t happy. The TDE crooner expressed her frustrations with the label before the release of her debut studio album CTRL saying that she was quitting music. The many album delays really effected her and now that the album is out and is massively successful, she has shared in an interview with Flaunt.
“I’m still miserable,” she said. “My world got so much smaller so fast. I have so much to write about. I feel like I’m in a cage. I’m making the best album of my life for this next album and I know that… because it’s going to be my last album.” – SZA
It’s worth noting SZA is working on music with Mark Ronson and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker as a super trio group. We’re hoping SZA has a change of heart but respect her decision and hope she can find happiness while making the incredible music she has been.
