If somebody told us that we’d be hearing Lil Yachty on a Tame Impala track this year, we would have told you to take a hike. That scenario has become reality, however, as Kevin Parker has enlisted Lil Yachty for the latest Slow Rush remix, “Breathe Deeper.”
With “Breathe Deeper” having such a groovy rhythm, it definitely clicks with a rapper on the instrumental. Kevin adds the perfect amount of reverb to Lil Yachty’s vocals here, which helps him fit the Tame Impala mold. Yachty ends up dropping three separate verses on this tune with Kevin’s usual hook remaining in between them.
Although this may not be our favorite remix of the few we’ve heard so far from The Slow Rush, we’re giving both of these artists major props for stepping outside the box.
