Cashmere Cat and The Weeknd have teamed up on a huge collaboration called "Wild Love" and brought on newcomer Francis and The Lights. Cashmere Cat previously shared a picture of himself and The Weeknd in the studio, followed by The Weeknd sharing a snippet of the track on Instagram.
Cashmere Cat continues his trend of works in the R&B and hip-hop space after already working with Kanye West & Vic Mensa, Wiz Khalifa, Tory Lanez and more. Francis and the Lights' auto-tuned vocal appearance follows up his “Friends” music video with Bon Iver and Kanye West, as well as his feature on Chance The Rapper's “Summer Friends”.
The foundation of “Wild Love” is rather experimental and purposely lacks drums to accentuate the moody background textures. The grumbling bass line joins repeated synth blips paired with The Weeknd's falsetto crooning. Enjoy!
