The Weeknd Explores New Territory On Second Album Single “False Alarm”

The Weeknd keeps the music coming with "False Alarm", the second single off his forthcoming Starboy album. The release enters a whirlwind of buzz as the R&B icon recently shared the project's title track, which features Daft Punk, and its music video

"False Alarm" explores a new direction from Abel. He finds his place atop a pulsing drum & bass beat and 80's-styled synth production that transitions into a more abrasive-sounding hook where he practically shouts the song’s title. Based on the first two singles, it sounds like Abel wants to switch things up on his upcoming LP. The raw alternative sound, as well as his new haircut, has fans hooked.

Starboy contains 18 songs and drops Nov. 25 on Republic Records. Listen to "False Alarm" below and enjoy!
