Alaska’s Sacred Acre Festival is primed to be another can’t miss event with one of our favorite lineups of 2023. With just two weeks left to go, we thought it would be a perfect time to celebrate with two unique editions of The Remedy, our artist-curated playlist series. The first edition comes by way of Denver’s own bass queen Maddy O’Neal, offering up some of her favorite therapeutic tunes.
Vol. 053 of The Remedy includes music from Jamie xx, Jungle, Mindchatter, Troyboi, Of The Trees, Disco Lines, and more. Clearly inspired by the beautiful backdrop of the Alaskan outdoors, Maddy O’Neal has put together a tasteful mix of reflective and groove-filled cuts. Here’s what Maddy had to say about her Remedy playlist,
“Curated a playlist from start to finish with the intention that each of these tracks have that “cruise factor”. You can put this whole playlist on and cruise around head nodding in a full trance. Traveling to different festivals I usually listen to similar vibes so I can get into the right head space for a performance but not get ear fatigue from jamming to too much heaviness before the show. I created this playlist with the trip to Alaska in mind ahead of Sacred Acre. I can’t wait to be immersed in the nature that Alaska has to offer and embrace the journey there. I’ll be playing two sets (A Maddy Live set and a MadHaus late night). The lineup is full of friends and Sacred Acre has curated such a unique sound for the boutique-style festival.”
