For those of you who aren't familiar with his music yet, you might have heard his next-level bass playing abilities across numerous Flying Lotus releases or on Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly album along with releasing multiple projects on Flying Lotus's Brainfeeder label. Thundercat has become the go-to guy if you’re looking for a wild bassline on a track.

Now he’s shared the very exciting news he has a new album Drunk due Feb. 24 and features Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa and Pharrell as well as contributions from Flying Lotus and Kamasi Washington, who's a highly regarded Jazz Sax player that has collaborated with Kendrick Lamar and others.

The upcoming project is an ambitious 23-track offering and will be delivered via Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder records. “Show You The Way” Ft. Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins is Thundercat’s first offering off the project. The single is a kinda weird funky, soulful tune that’s amazingly smooth. With these high-profile features on Drunk, we’re anxiously awaiting the full project serving as Thundercat’s third album. See the hilarious artwork below as well. Enjoy!
