It’s no secret that Hulaween has been one of our favorite festivals over the past few years. Taking place at the legendary Spirit of Suwannee Music Park, Hulaween continually puts forward diverse lineups. This year’s headliners include The String Cheese Incident, Pretty Lights, Trey Anastasio Band, Goose, John Summit, Big Wild, Elderbrook, Channel Tres, and more.
This year also marks Hulaween’s 10th Anniversary. To celebrate this milestone, we thought it would be nice to commemorate some of the festival’s top moments over the years. There were plenty of amazing occasions to choose from but we did our best to narrow it down to this list:
Top 10 Most Iconic Hulaween Moments Of All-Time
10.
Although it’s technically in the future, the triumphant return of Pretty Lights after a five-plus year hiatus is already undoubtedly the most anticipated event of the year. Pretty Lights will embark on his return tour later this year with a few festival appearances. Hulaween, however, is the only east coast festival on that list.

Those familiar with The String Cheese Incidents’ festival appearances are all too familiar with their legendary ‘Big Shebang’ performances. There have been so many iconic moments over the years but perhaps none bigger than their 2015 shebang with Ghoultrain featuring GZA as Don Cornelious.
8.
Hulaween has always managed to curate a lineup in-tune with the times. In 2021, Jungle and Khruangbin were, arguably, two of the biggest alternative acts in the world. That same year, Jungle played at The Hallows stage directly before Khruangbin closed the weekend out at The Meadow stage
7.
Marc Rebillet has made his living with his hilarious improvised live shows. Perhaps no other improv was more difficult than the time he performed at Spirit Lake in 2019. One festival attendee suffered a seizure, briefly pausing the show, but the festival staff was ready for the call and Marc even managed to incorporate the incident into his show.
6.
In 2017, Hulaween introduced the infamous ‘Jetpack Man.’ Festival attendees were treated to an unforgettable 3D projection show over Spirit Lake while a man in an LED Flyboard suit flew and somersaulted through the night.
5.
Not all festivals are easily accessible to those in wheelchairs, especially when braving the elements of an outdoor festival. In 2015, Slightly Stoopid played their golden hour sunset set at The Amphitheater stage where fans were seen lifting up another attendee in a wheelchair to provide a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to crowd surf
4.
Hulaween’s musically diverse roster of artists has evolved throughout the years. In 2015, Hulaween broke into the hip-hop circuit by hosting Chance the Rapper as their first ever hip-hop headliner. Just two years after the release of his iconic Acid Rap mixtape, Chance’s appearance forever changed Hulaween’s trajectory of artists that later included acts like Lizzo, Anderson .Paak, J.I.D, Cordae, and more.

Back in 2015, ODESZA was still not quite at the meteoric success and popularity levels that they are now. They were, however, still one of the most anticipated performers at Hulaween that year and their legendary performance at The Amphitheater, undoubtedly, kickstarted their booming global expansion.
2.
2021 marked an astronomically important year for live music as the world finally started to recover from the effects of Covid. There was no shortage of talent present on Hulaween’s lineup that year but the true standout moment of the year was when Skrillex, Chris Lake, and Bonobo performed a surprise b2b2b pop-up set at the Incendia Fire Stage.

In 2018, the legendary British funk and jazz group, Jamiroquai, announced their reunion after a 13-year hiatus. After a number of cryptic videos and insinuations, it was finally confirmed that they would be headlining Hulaween for just one of five total US performances. Their unforgettable headlining set at The Meadow stage marked a pivotal moment for both Hulaween and Jamiroquai themselves and well deserves to be the most iconic Hulaween moment of all time.
