The Friendship legacy is an evolving symphony of music and camaraderie, each year adding a distinct rhythm, always centered around unforgettable experiences and enduring bonds. The mastermind and visionary behind it all is none other than EDM legend, Destructo, who in just about two months, will be setting sail for Friendship 2024.
This year’s lineup is as stacked a lineup as we’ve ever seen before with heavyweights like Skrillex, Chris Lake, Bob Moses, Boys Noize, and Chris Lorenzo leading the pack. There’s so many things to look forward to throughout the five day excursion so we thought we’d help out by providing our own list of Top 5 Artists You Shouldn’t Miss!
Dig into our selections below!
5. A Hundred Drums
After a decade of crafting her sonic signature in cutting-edge spaces, A Hundred Drums has emerged onto the mainstage to bring the sounds of the underground to the masses. The Denver native has been on a tear lately, opening up for Zeds Dead’s Deadrocks IX and most recently selling out The Mishawaka alongside Black Carl!
4. Nitepunk
The Georgia-born (the country not the state) producer made the difficult decision to relocate to the US where his music career has begun to reach new heights. His out-of-this-world synthesis and break-beat-inspired rhythmic grooves never fail to get the crowd jumping. Heavily influenced by the underground rave scene that surrounds him, Nitepunk continues to showcase his unorthodox, yet captivating delivery of dance music.
3. Mary Droppinz
The SoCal-based producer sound is one of the hardest to pin down. Her productions are just as versatile as her DJ sets with heavy influence coming from the UK electronic scene. Known for delivering a unique blend of genres throughout her discography, she’s quickly become recognized as a modern trailblazer in bringing a new era of electronic music into the American market.
2. Mersiv
Founded on the intention to bring people into the present moment through sound, Mersiv is one of the modern innovators and trailblazers in electronic music today. The budding producer draws on a wide range of musical influences, including freeform bass, dubstep, trap, hip-hop, pop, and more. He’s also the lead curator of MorFlo Records, a platform designed to showcase those tapping into flow through art.
1. Skrillex
What else needs to be said about Skrillex that hasn’t already been said? The EDM titan has returned to global acclaim after releasing two groundbreaking albums, Quest For Fire and Don’t Get Too Close, earlier this year. He’ll be blessing Friendship with a special extended set during the 24-hour island party in Belize, poised to be one of the most sought-after exclusive events of the new year.
Friendship 2024 will be setting sail from Miami on January 6 and returning on January 11.
