Yet another Burning Man has come and gone, with tens of thousands of Burners gathering in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert to celebrate art, music, creativity and community for a staggering nine days and eight nights. Hearing the diverse group of sets that Burning Man hosts is always something we look forward to, and 2017 was no different. This weekend Tycho shared his soothing sunrise set from the fifth day of the gathering, and it’s stacking up to be one of our favorite performances of the festival.
Tycho’s set is a dreamy, effortless ride from start to finish, floating from one song to the next with no effort at all. Tycho features plenty of his own ambient works, including “Epoch” and many other tracks off the LP of the same name (which we featured in December 2016 as one of our favorite albums of the year). He branches off from there, seamlessly weaving chillwave tracks from artists like Caribou, Kidnap Kid, The Bamboos and more into a healthy two hour stream of music. Hear the relaxing set in full below. Enjoy!
