Ultra Announces New Virtual Festival Experience In Response To Coronavirus Shutdowns

|||,

It’s been a rough month for music festivals worldwide. Wit numerous events either postponing or calling it quits for the duration of 2020, today Ultra has moved forward with a new initiative among the chaos by teaming with SiriusXM on an Ultra Virtual Audio Festival.

We were all taken aback when Ultra, then Winter Music Conference, then subsequently Miami Music Week as a whole experienced a domino effect of cancellations. With the coronavirus outbreak having knocked down countless shows, events and tours over the last few weeks, Ultra has salvaged some hype today with their new announcement.

Starting this Friday (March 20) Ultra will be revamping UMF Radio on SiriusXM to showcase DJ sets from quite a few select artists that were slated to take the stage at this years fest. Featuring performances from Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, Martin Garrix, Major Lazer & more plus a few rerun sets from The Chainsmokers, Kygo, Marshmello & others from years past, we’re excited to hear that Ultra is making the best out of the current climate with this offering.

Find more details here, see the full announcement below and tune-in to SiriusXM channel 52 this Friday to catch all the action. Enjoy!

Starting 3/20, UMF Radio (Ch. 52) will broadcast SiriusXM’s Ultra Virtual Audio Festival featuring exclusive live DJ sets from artists who were originally scheduled to perform at @ultra, including @Afrojack, @arminvanbuuren, and more. Details: https://t.co/2YAeRnfkgn pic.twitter.com/xakYcDLpjc
