What do you get when you mix the talents of a producer and a graphic artist? A brilliant audio/visual treat, which is exactly what Vijunns has cooked up, and we are proud to premiere it here on the site first. The musician and designer is dropping “Iridescence,” the first single from his upcoming Liminal EP, on March 5, and the song is accompanied by a visual guide with digital artwork.
This track is giving us major Tycho vibes. It’s a magical mix of ambient and experimental sounds that take you through a breezy and light-hearted electronic adventure. High-frequency synths, ethereal back vocals, and powerful percussions sail on top of the steady underlying production, as the rhythm surges and softens through a series of breaks.
You can get an early listen to the song below, and keep an eye out for the EP’s April 2 release. It’s part of his new audio/visual imprint Hyperreal Projects, which he started as a sort of fake label when having trouble being signed, but is now a legitimate venture. Enjoy!
