As Holy Ship 10.0 departed last Saturday (Jan 6), many were skeptical as to how the five-day cruise would play out now that founder Gary Richards was no longer part of the event. But as we’ve already witnessed an insane b2b from A-Trak x Louis The Child x Hotel Garuda and a hilarious notice to guests about fornicating with pizza, 10.0 seems to have been nothing but smooth sailing so far. To top off the weekend though, it seems rumors of Porter Robinson being aboard were confirmed, as he made a surprise appearance for his second ever set as Virtual Self.
Since dropping a debut EP and playing his first ever how as Virtual Self toward the end of last year, we were left wondering if Porter’s new moniker was here to stay. But after showing up on lineups for Buku Music + Art Project, Ultra Music Festival and now his surprise appearance on Holy Ship, it seems as though we’ll be seeing much more of Virtual Self in the near future. Check out a snippet of Virtual Self’s Holy Ship set below and enjoy!
