Whethan has been on a roll as of late with some incredible releases. Earlier this year the Chicago-based producer dropped the catchy single “love gang” (feat. Charli XCX) before releasing his latest track, “Good Nights” (feat. Mascolo). Today, we’re happy to share yet another incredible Whethan collaboration, this time with LA-based artist Elohim, titled “Sleepy Eyes”.
Although Whethan has remixed Elohim in the past, “Sleepy Eyes” makes for the first time the two have officially collaborated. Starting off with a warm plucked melody, Elohim’s soft, delicate voice (which listeners may recognize from Louis The Child’s "Love Is Alive") quickly rolls in, giving the track a warm, emotional vibe. Some gentle percussion and a crisp horn slowly progresses the song forward into a chill drop filled with distant vocal chops and a pulsing bassline, perfect for summer.
