[PREMIERE] Gramatik’s “Native Son Prequel” Receives Soulful Trap Remix From MYRNE

||

Rising Singapore based producer MYRNE has delivered his hybrid trap and future bass take on Gramatik's single, "Native Son Prequel". The official remix is fueled by a funky guitar bassline, jazzy riffs and punchy percussion that gives the production an extra bite to it. MYRNE says he's been a fan of Gramatik since his early high school days. Here's what he had to say about the remix opportunity:

In a bizarre twist of events, from listening to Gramatik's Expedition 44 & Street Bangers series as a high school freshman (which really set the groundwork for my approach to funk-infused electronica), to having him personally reach out for a remix was surreal. I had the entire Epigram record to choose from, and my ears were out for this one because of the soulful, tongue-in-cheek vocal. I kept most of the swing from the original record, while giving it a overpowered, gospel-esque boost. Play this one loud!! — MYRNE

The up-and-coming artist beautifully implements funk, soul and gospel elements into one cohesive package that lands an official slot of Gramatik's "Native Son Prequel" remix package on Lowtemp Music. Listen to the premiere of MYRNE's rendition below and grab a free download while it lasts. enjoy!
