Rising Artist edapollo Serves Up Dreamy Single “Only You”

edapollo has been on our radar for some time now. His seamless blend of electronic, downtempo, and house influence, combined with an innate ability to create intimate moments within his songs are just a few of the reasons why he stands out to us as an artist to watch. The rising producer has plans to release a new album this July, but to make the wait a bit easier, his first offering from the LP arrives today, entitled “Only You.”

If you’re anything like us, you’d agree that there are few things better than a good ol’ fashioned synth pluck. Well, lucky for you (and us), edapollo has got us more than covered on this new tune. Rhythmic plucks drive the track in a landscape of dreamy pads and spacious percussion. An infectious vocal lays overtop the bed of synth-filled goodness to provide a sentimental message and meaning to the track.

edapollo commented on the track, saying:

I wrote that track when I was in the UK, back in my parents’ house and I was living there on my own for a month. It was a weird time for me. It felt lonely. I felt like I went back to a previous life I wasn’t living anymore. I set up a makeshift studio in my parents’ kitchen and came up with the track and I remember just blasting it because I was in this house in rural Devon and I could play it as loud as I want. I was really feeling it, dancing around the kitchen, and then I realized it could use a vocal hook that repeats itself, so I started using my voice which allowed me to deliver my message a bit more, rather than searching for samples. It’s euphoric and uplifting but also has an emotional edge which sumarizes where I was at mentally, being lost and letting the music take me to a better place.
