House music comes in many different variations, but the genre as a whole is on top right now, and particularly during this time of year it’s the best. Today, Shallou, best known for his chill and serene production, and Night Tales, best known for their deep and transcendent production, come together for a glossy summer house tune, “I Just Wanted To Dance” via the illustrious FADER Label.
“I Just Wanted To Dance” was created during the extra time of their studio session after already making a track fitting both their styles. The track is influenced by old school house and captures the vibe to perfection. A blend of Disco and House, with a piano-driven bassline and a tantalizing hook that was created using a text-to-speech generator. This track is innovative, imaginative, and a nod to both artists’ dynamic talent.
On the track, both artists shared,
Shallou, “This type of song is a little outside both mine and Night Tales’ wheelhouse, but we are both super influenced by old school house and agreed that this track captures that feeling. Making the track felt so natural and fun, so we realized why wait? Let’s get this one out for summer! I am releasing a series of EPs based on the seasons that reflect the feeling of that time. This song, similar to my latest single, ‘It’s You,’ is centered more around having fun and not as much about being in your feels.”
Night Tales, “This was an exciting and exploratory departure from the chill emotive sounds of Shallou, and for us, focusing more on the production and energy of the song with minimal vocals. The hook is simple and reinforces the sentiment of the track. This is only the beginning of our collaboration, so watch the space for future anthems from both of us.”
