Shows are coming back, y’all! A new wave of excitement is crashing through Colorado right now with the lift of the mask mandate. It’s time to get out the calendar and start planning which concerts you want to attend.

One of our favorite venues, the (still) brand new Mission Ballroom, is announcing new shows every week now. Some are happening as early as July, but most are taking place during the fall. We’ve compiled a list of the best and most relevant concerts that are must-sees.

You can check out the list of concerts below, sorted by date. Cheers!

1. Zeds Dead

Date: July 4

Zeds Dead have a monumental Independence Day weekend planned for Colorado. The dubstep duo will be gracing Red Rocks for two nights on July 2 & 3, a day party at Sculpture Park on July 4, and closing it out with a set at Mission Ballroom that same night. With so many performances scheduled for that weekend, we’re eager to see what they whip out at Mission.

2. Dirt Monkey

Date: August 6

One of Colorado’s homegrown bass veterans Dirt Monkey will be headlining Mission Ballroom this summer, and he’s bringing a cavalry of great talent to join him, including G-Rex, G-Space, Ravenscoon, Kumarion, and Shank Aaron.

3. Black Pumas

Dates: August 11, August 12

Black Pumas burst onto the scene in 2019 with their widely acclaimed self-titled debut album. They’re now being booked at festival all over the globe, and they’ll be playing two separate nights at Colorado’s premiere indoor venue. Their sound is as soulful as it gets, and these are sure to be two fantastic nights.

4. Sylvan Esso

Date: September 14

When it comes to indie dance, Sylvan Esso are some of the best in the biz. The duo have put out a ton of music during the pandemic, and this will be the first time we’ll be able to hear their album FREE LOVE live and in person.

5. Marc Rebillet

Date: September 17

It’s not secret that we love Marc Rebillet around here. The viral star turned actual star has proved himself to be one of the most formidable improv talents around right now, and what could be a better place to witness him cook up some tracks from scratch? This show will be a party.

6. Gorgon City

Date: October 28

It’s looking like the first house music show back will be UK superstars Gorgon City. These guys are dancefloor scientists and know exactly how to keep a crowd moving. After seeing shows like Chris Lake x Fisher and Dom Dolla at Mission in 2019, we can confirm that it is the perfect place for housey grooves.

7. Beats Antique

Date: November 5

These Bay Area wizards are known for putting on a spectacle of a show wherever they end up. With the massive in-house LED screen, this one is sure to get very, very trippy. Joining Beats Antique on the lineup will be Desert Dwellers, Bluetech, and Edamame.

8. Porter Robinson

Dates: November 8 & November 9

After a very successful album rollout, Porter Robinson will be debuting his Nurture Live show this year, and we can’t wait to see him perform at Mission Ballroom. He’s got two separate dates booked, and both of them will include another favorite of ours, Jai Wolf, on support. This one is going to be special.

9. San Holo

Date: November 11

There are not many artists who are so devoted to spreading positive energy than San Holo. In the fall, the Dutch artist will be arriving at Mission Ballroom to perform his wholesome belters for Denver, and we will surely be in attendance.

10. Purity Ring

Date: December 5

Another brilliant indie dance duo, Purity Ring is set to bring their 2020 album, WOMB, to a live setting for the first time in 2021. Their first stop of their tour will actually in be in Boulder, but the duo will be returning to Colorado for a stop at Mission Ballroom at the end of fall.
