6LACK Returns With New Single “Float,” Announces New EP & Hot Sauce Brand

|||,

It’s been a minute and a half since we’ve heard from melodic rapper, 6lack. While we’ve seen the Atlanta talent on feature and lineup lists, we haven’t seen too many solo releases since his stellar sophomore album, East Atlanta Love Letter. Today, the famously introspective rapper has returned with the release of a new slow-burner titled “Float” as the debut single from his upcoming 6pc Hot EP.

This latest offering picks up right where the 6lack left off, and is the perfect reminder of just how talented he is. Quaint spaced out guitar strums instantly convey a feeling of weightlessness atop gentle sound waves. As the supporting drum kit guides us forward through those sound waves, 6lack’s unfiltered lyricism addresses the all to familiar feelings of “just trying to stay afloat” while confronting both internal and external unrest.

When the world needs new music most, we couldn’t be more excited to hear from 6lack with a new single and an EP announcement. But you know what they say, “Good things come in threes.” Along with this new track and incoming EP, the multitalented artist also announced the launch of his own hot sauce called 600 degrees to accompany the release of 6pc Hot. It’s great to have one of our favorite Atlanta artists back, and we’ll definitely be keeping an out for any developments on the new EP. Stream 6lack’s newest single, “Float,” below. Enjoy!
