Atlanta-based singer and rapper 6LACK last year with a string of incredible singles followed by an impressive flip of The Weeknd’s “Wicked Games,” titling the track “Just in time 4 the weekend.” Ever since then, the hip-hop and R&B artist has been steadily on the rise, most notably dropping his impressive debut album FREE 6LACK. This week rising artists it’s different, a duo that has previously teamed up with R3HAB to create their viral “Bad and Boujee” remix, and Kivnon, a German future bass producer, collaborated to drop an incredible remix of 6LACK’s “PRBLMS.”
After hearing this remix, it’s safe to say that both it’s different and Kivnon should be on your radar moving forward. These producers came together to take an already stellar track and turn it into a masterfully produced compilation of genres, combining future style with the R&B elements wonderfully. Smooth piano melodies, pulsing bass and feverish synths weave themselves perfectly into the production, making the vocals all the more intense as the track builds.
