Zeds Dead are back with the latest compilation album from their label, Deadbeats! We’re stoked to give you a sneak peek of We Are Deadbeats Volume V, with a premiere from trailblazing producer Saka and Los Angeles-based artist Abelation. The duo teamed up on an explosive track for the album titled Elite, and we can guarantee you’ll be head-banging by the end of this one. The swift sounds of blades and muffled beats quickly transition into an up-tempo build that drops into a HARD baseline. Inspired by the bass-heavy legends that came before them, Saka spoke about the inspiration for this festival-ready banger:
Reese and I wrote this when we first ever started getting to play shows and festivals w people we’d looked up to for so long, people who we considered absolutely elite at production, and so we wrote the beat around the phrase in the beginning where the vox goes ‘now you’re rockin w the best’.
