Alex Metric has one of the most diverse discographies of any artist we’ve covered on TSIS. Between his collection of powerhouse remixes, recent releases as a member of electronic supergroup KUU, and his years upon years of solo work, Alex’s unpredictability as an artist is one of the things we love most about him. Today, the electronic icon announced the release of his first solo EP in just about seven years. Ahead of the EP, Metric joined forces with Dot Major, to serve up their new single “See This Through.”
Vibey, spacious percussion introduces the track, followed by an absolutely stunning, saturated bass line. The groove picks up quickly, as the main vocal repeats the words “I wanna see this through.” Still mesmerized by the immaculate bass tones in the verse, Metric and Major transport the listener to a dreamy, synth pad interlude, catapulting into a four-on-the-floor drop that we truly could not get enough of.
