We’ve been patiently following Aluna’s new album rollout over the past few months as she released a number of singles to wet our appetites. We’re happy to say the wait is finally over because today Aluna has finally unveiled her highly-anticipated sophomore album MYCELiUM, out now via Mad Decent.
Ever since her earlier AlunaGeorge days, Aluna has always been a boundary-breaking force, merging electronic, indie, alternative, and pop. She admitted that she needed to take a step back to understand her foundation and create a community that would inspire the sound on MYCELiUM. The result is a beautifully diverse catalog of music that focuses on the use of analog sounds, infusing her music with organic and raw energy, and collaborating with like-minded visionaries worldwide.
Among Aluna’s collaborators include Route 94, TSHA, Picard Brothers, Kaleena Zanders, MNEK, Pabllo Vittar, Eden Prince, Tchami, Jayda G, Preditah, Chris LAke, MK, Walker & Royce, and Kooldrink. Aluna and co have joined together hand-in-hand to pay homage to 90s era dance music while also celebrating Black and LGBTQ+ cultures.
