bitbird has been showcasing a flock of new talent so far this year. Next up to make his debut on the label is Belgian producer, AMNES. After recently releasing his official remix for San Holo’s “DON’T LOOK DOWN,” the innovative producer now shares his debut EP, Nur, paying tribute to his Arabic roots on this five-track collection.
AMNES starts the EP off with rhythmic intro track, “Otaku.” Through blissfully compressed synth stabs and a tight, rounded beat, AMNES crafts a tune absolutely destined to thrive in the club. The producer teams up with artmeis orion on “Kintsugi” and “Stamina,” utilizing her delicate vocal tone to contrast AMNES’s more bass-heavy drops on the EP. Nur is an extremely prolific showcase of the rising artist’s talents – a debut EP to remember as AMNES continues to progress his blossoming career further.

Over these last months, I made you discover different parts of the story of this EP with the releases of “Otaku”, “Kintsugi”, and “Stamina”. The EP’s title, ‘Nur,’ means looking for the light during the different situations in life that we can go through. I wanted to express something personal through each track, and I hope you feel that when you listen to them. I can’t wait for you to discover the last tracks of this EP and for the story of ‘Nur’ to be complete.
